Is she trying to tell me to leave her alone?

Question - (12 February 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 12 February 2009)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hello,

I have been dating a girl nearly a year. We both went off to college this fall. While our relationship has suffered somewhat, we did go on some dates when we could (and were both back home). I last had contact with her on Jan 26, when she responded to an email, in a perfectly normal manner.

Since then, all emails and calls have gone unanswered. Is she trying to tell me to leave her alone? If so, why not just break up with me civilly?

I am very perturbed because this is very unlike her, and I have not detected any signs of anything being wrong.

Thank you,

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (12 February 2009):

You just have to keep trying... Keep calling her from different people's phones to see if she answers when it is not your number and ask her what's going on.

If you still can't get in contact then send an email saying that you take it you have been dumped and will leave her alone from now on but that you are very disappointed that she didn't have the decency to be an adult about it.

Good Luck!! xx
