Is she trying to get me to notice her, or just treating me as a brotherly figure?

A uni mate of mine (girl) is giving me (guy) a few weird vibes and I have grown to fancy her a lot. When she was dating her boyfriend (who's now history) she'd always say 'Aw, I think I love you' and 'I wish he was like you'. Other signals were 'do you wanna get married? You're the sort of guy I'd marry' and (about my student house next year) 'do you wanna share a bed when I visit?', as well as me saying 'I haven't been to the cinema in ages' and for her to say 'take me'.

She generally smiles a lot around me and I do catch her looking sometimes. My guess is that these are all jokes but I don't get why she'd do that. Plus I'm always hanging around with my mate (male) at uni who she knows just as well but never flirts with him, and sees him as a bit of a moron. So what do we reckon?

MsSadie agony auntI reckon that it's worth testing the waters.

Honestly, I used to say stuff like that to my guy friends in a joking kind of way all the time, and they knew that I was playing around. But had any of them taken it seriously and asked me out, I probably would have yes (maybe every 3 out of 5 times).

Not everyone will agree with this, but I truly believe, based on all my own or my friends' experiences, that when guys and girls are friends there is usually some level of attraction there in at least one party.
