I am man of 44 years of age and have been out of the dating game for a long time now and find it hard to tell what is going on.There is a lady i work with that i really like,we get on we get on well joke around have some fun, seem to bounce of each other. after a while i ask her out, she said she wasn't sure that she wanted to go out with anyone from work but she did like me but we could still go out as mates which i said OK.we carried on as before for a few weeks when she asked me if i still wanted to take her out as mates,i said i would it should be fun.Later on she asked me not to say anything to anyone from work, she didn't want the gossiping about us, so i said i wouldn't.Now my question is do u think she like me enough to date and is just testing the water or is this just going to be mates going out.

It might be that she's just testing the waters. She could be worried about getting into trouble, or she could be worried that she doens't know you well enough and wants to get to know you more. For now, I think it's worth just going out with her and getting to know her more.
