I asked if she was doing anything special this weekend and said not really and walked away to do work. Having said later she came up to me and was talking away and was quite comfortable, then when she was leaving our office she said something as she passed me kinda playful and jokingly. Do you think she worried I was gonna ask her out earlier, and walked away to avoid it? Or is this what shy girls do when you go to ask them out?

She can be shy at work and after she got off work you may be able to see a different personality. I know a lot of work place romance. It's common but still there is a taboo attached to it. Make it low key like just a lunch or coffee. Be subtle so that makes her wonder if your intention is friendship or dating. That creates tension but at the same time she won't feel too pressured. You have to ask her even before knowing for sure she likes you. Interest has to be developped. After all, your workplace is not a good place to ask a girl out.
