writes:theres this girl who used to date my best friend i used to talk to her everynight allnight on msn. she then broke up with my mate and i began having strong feelings for her i told her that i liked her but i then made the mistake of telling her that i loved her even though now i know it was just a crush.my computer then broke and i didn't speak to her for a while then but i did send a few messages to her on facebook via another computer. a few weeks ago after i got a new laptop we had a nice conversation because i then felt even stronger about this other girl i met during a temporary job and she gave me sum good advice (i am guessing that she knew i was over her) and now over the last few days i have said "hi" to her and she has been ignoring me i even asked her why is she ignoring me and have i done something wrong and still no reply and i just wanted to know how do i get her talking to me again and if any girls could help out on what i have possibly done wrong

reader, anonymous, writes (10 February 2010): you have played the turtle game with her. poking your head out, back in, back out...and she doesnt want to be interested in you. we females tend to go in a protective mode once we have been made to feel stupid. if she was interested, and you moved on, she regrouped and handled herself well. just dont expect her to allow you to get close again. sorry, mal
