A male United States age 30-35, *Fenix writes:

So me and my ex broke up with me almost 2 months ago. We live together and still live together. She broke up with me for some reasons she wasnt clear on. She wasnt having a relationship with another guy though. She has alot going on, between school, work, family problems, etc.

Less then a month ago I was very cocky and tried to get her to tell me she missed me and still loved me, she did but also said that she needs to go through the motions of a breakup and go through the healing process.

A week after this I gave her a hug and tried to kiss her, that didnt go over well ,she rejected it.

Since then I had avoided her but not ignore her, but if I didnt need to talk to her I wouldnt, and if she wanted to talk she had to come to me. I had also decided that I was going to enlist instead of going back to college. I told her and she acted cool about it and asked why I wanted to do it and kept trying to convince me to talk to my mother about it.

Well, a couple days later I called her father (Which she doesnt know about) and he said she called him freaked out and that she cannot lose me to something like that.

Before I get to the point there is another thing that is noteworthy; She doesnt want me to tell anyone at work (We work together) and not to tell anyone else in her family that we have broken up; I changed my relationship status on facebook; she said if anyone asks that she is going to tell them that we got into a fight and that i was being a jerk and changed my relationship status. What is that?

Ever since all of this i have followed my friends and her fathers advice, be a friend, be nice, dont ignore her, let her come to me and not go to her, if she asks for help, give it to her.

So; Lately I feel like she has been flirting with me, she'll give me one of those long 4 second stares where she smiles, she'll call me cute sometimes (recently its more rarely), she calls me honey (Im assuming by mistake).

Sometimes I feel like she tries to make me jealous like the other night she said she had to go write a paper for one of her finals and she went over to her guy-friends house so she could get help on it, and she told me that they figured out what they were going to write about but then they ended up going out, they were gonna go see a movie but then they didnt and I think they went out to dinner.

She knew when we were going out stuff like that bothered me, I didnt really react and kept my a smile on my face.

She needed help with another assignment and asked me and I said sure, so we went to the library and started writing and the entire time she was leaning on me or she would put her head on my shoulder and stuff like that. I was writing the paper for her but I dont think she was doing all that stuff because I was doing her paper, thats not the type of person she is. And later when i finished her paper she gave me a hug and kissed me on the cheek which is extremely unusual behavior.

But all this stuff is kind of constant, I cant tell if she is flirting and if she misses me or if she is just being friendly. My friend thinks I should just wait, he thinks the situation is getting better and if I wait it out all the pieces will fall into place and that she will make the first move. and I dont know what to think.

So maybe someone can help me out with this situation and give me some advice or insight on this situation.

And another thing worth noting is that she does unusually nice things like when I have to rush out to class, she'll make my bed and sometimes (if we're out together)she'll ask if im hungry and even when I say no she'll get me something or even when im not she'll send me a text and ask and even if I say no then, she'll still get something.

She'll do nice things like that.
