Sex the first time is supposed to be quite sore but it's different for most people. The majority of the time it hurts for the girl, sometimes for the guy too but that is less talked about. Having a considerate partner can make the first time easier. The gentler people are with each other the easier things will be. I feel the need to point out that you ARE only 14, meaning you're legally too young to have sex. And the fact that you're having to ask this question screams out that you may not be properly informed about sex or know the proper information that you need to know about it. Please make sure you know all about contraception and that you don't end up with an STI/STD or baby on your hands. You have to make sure you're safe if you really do have sex. Please ensure you're ready to have sex when you do and that you are doing it for the right reasons too with a partner who is going to treat you with decency and respect that you deserve. I'm sure you'll get lots of other advice for this one, so i won't rattle on. Feel free to message me with any more questions you have that i might be able to help with. Take care and best wishes, MK

Hello,
How much it hurts really varies depending on who you are, it also depends if your hymen is currently in tact (the small piece of skin that covers the opening to your vagina). If you was active as a child, and did some sorts such as gymnastics or horse riding - there is a chance your hymen could of broken on its own naturally.
If this is the case, then you should have a pain-free sex experience (or in theory) - but this kind of activity is totally new to your body; it'll be stretched in different ways and either way its going to feel different (yet interesting) and potentially painful.
For most girls, the first time is a sore/painful experience - and it really depends on you, how much it'll hurt.. chances are; the pain/discomfort will be short (a couple of minutes) and then you'll start feeling the benefits.. but it may also hurt afterwards and it may even bleed for a little (don't worry - its normal).
Unfortunately, all girls have to go through it in some way or another - but, it'll soon pass and or you'll experience is pure pleasure..
Try not to worry, communicate with your partner - tell him if it hurts (its important if you do), tell him to slower / less deep etc.. if you're lucky, it won't hurt at all! :)
Good luck,
Ryan
