 Well... I think the best advice I can give to you is "if you can't beat em... join em!" When I say this I mean 2 things... 1. Have you thought about watching porn together? Even if it's not your thing, if you are this concerned and willing to at least give it a shot for him, the results could be very effective and fun! 2. If you're not willing to do that (or in addition to #1) I would make a trip to your local Cindy's or Hustler store --- and if shopping for sex novelties in public isn't in your comfort zone, there is a miriad of websites suited to the same thing. Get some items (that you are comfortable with) that would shock him and get his blood pumping in all the right areas... you would be suprised how far a little spontaneity will go! Good luck =)
