Now as far as phone sex, some girls like it some girls don't. It depends on how comfortable with your body and your sexual side you are. Some girls are too shy to ask for it and don't know what to say. It's not something that you are great at right away and it does take practice. The first few times can be awkward and that tends to put some girls off on it. But once you get the rhythm down it's actually a lot of fun. I love it, but i do prefer the real thing over phone sex any day. The reason it might feel like a chore is because most girls are scared of what they are supposed to say and they don't want to say the wrong thing, they don't know what the guy wants to hear. If you want to do it, don't talk about it just call her up one day and tell her what you're wearing, doing to yourself, thinking....etc and take the lead. don't pressure her into saying anything the first time, maybe you do all the talking and let her jump in if she wants, that way she can figure out what you want her to say.

 Masturbating is too much when it interferes with your daily life or you masturbate to the point of being unable to achieve orgasm with a live person. Other than that, wank away. Most do, however, find the orgasm and build-up more pleasurable when more is left between sessions.
Also, I don't think anyone here can speak for all women. Some women hate it, while others enjoy it. Just like most men most women would prefer the real thing to phone sex, but it can be a good way to deal with distance. Many men and women prefer to use a webcam now because it's the closest you can get to having sex with each other when distance makes it impossible.

 In the beginning if a girl wants to please a guy then they will have phone sex for a while but if you keep asking for it then eventually it will start to grind on the girl's nerves because females prefer the real deal...they want intimacy, affection and respect, if all you can give her is phone sex then dont expect your relationships to last. As for masturbation, its perfectly normal...it only becomes excessive if your doing it all day, everyday and its affecting your work....college and anything else.
