Question - (13 July 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 13 July 2010)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My fiance and I are planning on getting married in Las Vegas next summer. We decided to only have two witnesses. We both want to have a party to celebrate with family and friends. But because of financial costs we may have to wait til our one year anniversary to have the party. Is that too long after to celebrate with friends and family?

A female reader, Gabrielle Stoker United States +, writes (13 July 2010):

Gabrielle Stoker agony auntI suppose your friends and family would think it is too late! Still, it's your choice and if money is genuinely a constraint, it's best to be prudent. Maybe a less lavish party a month or two after getting married would be a compromise solution that can be followed by a bigger bash a year down the line?
