 I think you should be extremely careful. People you meet over the internet can and do lie. I wouldn't believe him if he says he is a virgin.
It's not something most men would admit to...especially not a turkish man. I have a few girlfriends who have been out to Turkey on holiday and met some of the men out there and the best I can say is...THEY ARE SCARY!!! They are mostly muslim and have a very different view of women and how women should be treated. I am not saying that it is wrong but it is DIFFERENT and I think you should research this. When they marry, they almost always marry within their own religion and see 'foreign' women as outsiders for casual relationships. Some women have also been the victims of deception. My own friend was swindled out of a large sum of money in a scam with a Turkish man. I am not painting a bad picture for the whole nation...but be very very careful!!!
I am sure a few relationships do work out but you would more than likely be expected to convert to a muslim.
If, in the course of getting to know this man, you sense any red flags, as in the condom thing, take note. Go in with your eyes wide open, insist he meets your family, absolutely do not give him any money and don't have sex until you are in a long term and loving relationship.
It could be the love of your life...or hell in a hand basket. Please take care!!!
