Is my sister jealous of me?

Question - (17 March 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 17 March 2008)
A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I am getting married in October and my sister is my maid of honor. She was trying on dresses and said she wanted to find a dress with a loose belly area so it can stretch if she "gets pregnant from now to October". I know it's horrible to feel this way but I can't understand why she's trying NOW to get pregnant when she knows she needs to be fitted for a dress and deep inside feel she's trying to steal my thunder. I understand if it just happened but she's purposly trying when she wasn't before. I feel like crap for feeling this way but can't help it. Please help!

A female reader, Gena Bullock United States +, writes (17 March 2008):

Gena Bullock agony auntHave you two had thunder theft in the past? Maybe having her as your maid of honor wasn't thought out to well. If this is a sign of past behavior you have time to change your mind regarding her status in the wedding, you know. If this means that much to you, I would consider it since you've asked. No since in having hard feelings but either way try to discuss it with her first and if you can't make ammends regarding her behavior, find another maid of honor. Were you her matron on honor in her wedding??? How did that go??? Gena
