writes:I've been thinking about this for quite some time now, and would really like to get someone else's opinion on the matter:I've developed a sort of friendship with my music teacher over the years. It felt like we were on the same page about many subjects and we even vented to each other about some day to day things. The man had been nothing but kind to me, even paying me the odd compliment such as calling me beautiful or complimenting something I wore on that particular day. He evem called me his star pupil in public!Unfortunately, almost two years ago, things had to take a change as I had to leave my home town to pursue my post-secondary studies. Luckily we have been in contact via email ever since.Things, however, started to get confusing for me. He asked me to have a dinner date with him in a pricey restaurant in order to catch up. He also got me rather expensive chocolates for my birthday, not to mention him calling me pet names like Sweetheart and Doll. To be honest, I just figured he was just fond of me - that is, until I told him I started seeing this guy. Almost immediately after, he became slightly colder, and hasn't tried to contact me as often. Even my mother noticed the change in his personality!What I would like to know is, is this man really into me, or am I over analyzing the whole situation?

I think this guy is into you, and the give away is that he's changed since he knows you've been seeing someone. To be honest, I would leave him out of your life if he doesn't contact you as much.

 sounds like he likes you altohugh it does sound weird i dont think you will ever know for sure if you dont meet him( not saying you should).
and you are not over analyzing the situation at all i would be the same if it was happening to me.
