Is my mother right about why he broke up with me?

me and my boyfriend have spilt up about a week ago, and i still cant get over that fact we did, he broke up with me saying its cos he wants to go travelling the world(he's always said he was going to) and he things it would be better for us, however when i told me mum she thinks he only said it cos he is a little worried about the age differeces as he can go out drinking with his mates and i cant join as he is 21 and im 16.do you think he broke up with me cos he wants to go travelling or is my mum right can you please help.

i'm 17 and dating a 21 yr old so i underatand your situation. how long were you together? think about it, he wanted to go out with you and he knew your age. i'm pretty sure its not that you cant go out drinking. it sucks, but its not that big a deal.

it sounds like he was telling the truth, and it' s because he's going travelling

try not to get too upset, he's trying to do the right thing, and itll be hard for him as well

maybe he does want to go travelling if he told you this before. maybe he is sparing your feelings and so you dont become too attached and gt hurt
