Is my mate interested in being more than a mate with me or am I way off here?

A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

About a year and a half ago I went on a date with this guy. It didn't work out but we remained friends. He is such a good friend that I take all my dating problems to him and vice versa.

Anyways just lately I have agreed to go on a date with a guy I have known for a few months. We get on great, which is why I agreed to go.

Anyhow I was discussing it with my boy mate a few days ago, and he started to talk about our ill-fated date. Then he sort of sent a message over MSN saying perhaps the date we went on was a disaster because he over-planned everything and wanted to much on the first date.

Do you think he is interested in me as in, being more than a friend? I don't think he is myself, but maybe I am being blind.

What do you lot think?

Laura1318 agony auntMost single men do not befriend a girl to be just a friend only.It is only the girls who judge them whether they become friends only or potential mates.

Once the men are put into the friends category , they become blind to any overtures or they ignore those feelings.
