She used to talk to me for hours and tell me, "you don't know how much I need you." She made me listen to a love song which "reminded her of me"But she really likes a celebrity musician who is a male. That is the only crush I know of hers because she tells everyone! She has never dated anyone.

It sounds like you're asking if she's gay because you're interested in her. It can be awkward to talk about such things, especially in high school. I think it's safe to say she's "confused" at the least. Talk with her about it and remind her that she can trust you with anything she says (hopefully that's true).

And it matters to you if she's gay because why?
Are you gay? do you want to date her?

Then again.. I caress my friends' hair. I have a need to touch stuff, and my female friends have SOFT hair. I can't help but touching it. And I' not gay.
Also she can just be awkwardly nice. I have said things to friends that came out way too romantic, when it was not what I meant.
If she does turn out to be gay, support her (it's your friend, no matter what) and, if she shows romantic interest in you, just straight things out (no pun intended!) - if you like her romantically, tell her, if you prefer to be friends, tell her too :)
