They feel ok-plenty sensation and a decent orgasm without semen all on the bedding. Is this a good sign for actual intercourse-I know the feeling can be different and don't want too much numbness?

I think you are being really responsible. Thank you.
When buying condoms buy the thinner ones if you worry about how much you can feel. Make sure you don't buy any of the ones that De-sensitize you. :) Though they can help you last longer they do take away some of the sensations you might otherwise feel.
And no, I don't think having sex feel like using your / her hand. I think overall you will feel a LOT more. Also you have to count in all the sensations from the rest of your body, where she kisses you, bites you, lick.. you get the picture.
Make sure that the two of you have plenty of "warm" up before going at it. That usually mean that you will have to excite her till she is good and wet, and til she tells you to get it on.
Good luck,
Keep up the safe sex, you won't regret it.

Well ive never met a boy who has preffered to use a condom! Obviously you must use a condom to protect yourselves, but i cant say any man likes to use them, that i have met anyway. They do make you lose alot of the feeling.
