Is losing your virginity supposed to hurt or is that just a stereotype people tell. Reply to this Question Share |

There will always be a level of discomfort the first time, how much depends on the individual person, but it is nothing to worry about, if the male is careful and takes it slow and gentle then it should keep the discomfort to a minimum. But at age 13-15 i dont think you should be thinking about sex.

Plus, you could still have your "hymen" which is a piece of skin which may not be broken yet.
If you are slow, and don't just jump into sex, and you are wet, and your hymen has nature broken or you've lost it when masturbating, you should be ok.
But you could still get pain, even then.
For a first time, it usually does give a shock, and most the time a pain, but after it your fine.

First, you should have sex when your ready and with the right person. Preferably, a boyfriend or partner who loves and cares for you as you do for them. It'll make the experience much more pleasurable and sacred since it will be with someone you love dearly. But, the experience does hurt in the beginning and then it'll become better as you start to explore sexual intimacy. I hope this helps!
