While I agree with you and Satin, What is common place to you as women is Terra incognito to an inexperienced man. Some women are "closed for business" for that week, so it is possible he has never had that particular experience. Some men are very touchy about the strangest things. I know of a man who won't allow his wife/SO to rub his back because "Grooming is an ape behavior, not for humans". I on the other hand preach that the couple that showers together, stays together.

I think he was a little squeamish and freaked out. It was messy but not painful. I read the other post, I just didn't see it as a big deal...

It's ok, although a bit messy sometimes. Probably a good idea to previously advise your partner, however, and use an old towel or other protection if frolicking on the bed.

No, there's nothing wrong with it. Some guys are just a bit more squeamish than others. Also some girls refuse to have sex while they're having their period so it might be something he'd not experienced before
