"..is it bad?"No, with following caveats: 1) It doesn't become an obsession. Okay to relieve the stress (I'm nearing sixty and I try to de-stress at least once daily), but don't let it consume you to point where you are watching porn when you should be studying. 2) No kids or animals, any depictions are of consenting compensated adult actors/models engaging in fantasy role-plays whose on-screen activities do not represent their personal conduct. That said, I must now say the porn industry in general traffics, exploits and discards women reduced to trading on their bodies and looks out of desperation and lack of alternatives. They're paid peanuts in proportion to profits generated, and once looks have faded they're on the street with nothing to show for their adult film "careers" and no future. Gay porn similar but not as bad, good looks not as important as big dicks, less age-restrictive as well, also geographically restricted (very few gay strip clubs outside big cities), target audience much less representative of public, and within social/cultural context, marginalized disadvantaged girl more likely to end up in porn industry than guy in same circumstances, just more hustlers out to recruit and exploit them, larger audience to watch them. Cultural sterotype mea culpa: didn't check gender, can't be sure how you define "porn." I will say that female-centric porn tends to focus on guys' faces and bodies, and attractive couples making romantic, passionate, torrid love; gay porn all about the size of the hard dick, straight porn is all about the woman getting bleeped. Guys in straight porn are essentially background extras, no "straight" guy is going to check out another guy's dick (yeah, right), no surprise only "name" straight male porn star is troll Ron Jeremy, guys can be fans without having their own sexuality threatened or questioned. Most Playgirl centerfolds (from later years anway) had dual careers as gay porn stars, although always under different "noms de cocque," and as time went on it became obvious most readers were gay men, stigma increased and "legit" advertisers targeting female readers bailed, ads in Playgirl became almost all for hard-core gay porn outlets, likely why print version died despite shift to models with big dicks and showing erections. Gender-neutral caveats still apply, though.

It's NOBODY ELSE'S DARN BUSINESS what you do in/on your private time....
IF you find pornography relaxing (by viewing or, whatever)... then have at it... and you needn't ask anybody else's approval or validation of your enjoying it....
Good luck.... Hope your studies go well and you have a great year.....
