Also, plenty of girls like to have bfs a year or two older so there's nothing odd about your slight age difference.
If you like her try and get her !

Hi there. Why don't you just go for coffee at the local cafe to where you work? At least you keep it light and friendly, and you'll see if you have anything in common.
Then go from there.
It doesn't cost too much money for a cup of coffee and a sandwich or a piece of cake, and you are not locked into anything if you don't hit it off. It's probably only about 30 minutes.
If you do hit it off, well then maybe you could ask her if she would like to see a movie with you on the weekend.
The main thing is, to just take it slowly. There's no rush at all.
