I am a biology major at the University of Nebraska. I understand how birth control works... allow me to explain.
The birth control pill is simply synthetic, or man-made, hormones. To be exact: Progesterone and Estrogen. This inhibits, or blocks, the release of your egg into you fallopian tubes. The pill causes a layer of mucus over the cervix (the opening to your uterus.) Another thing that the pill does is that it affects the lining of your uterus, making it difficult for a fertilized egg to attach.
When you are off of birth control. Obviously, you wont have synthetic hormones to stop the release of an egg, hence the possiblility of pregnancy. The only thing standing in your way is the mucus on your cervix, and your uterine lining... which all will return to normal :)

Absolutely! The only thing it might do is delay your conceiving a little because when you come off the pill your body takes a few months to readjust but you'll definitely be able to have kids provided nothing else is wrong!

Oh my, YES, you will be able to have babies. Birth control pills do NOT in any way cause infertility. Don't worry, sweetness.... not at all.
