To make the story short, one of his friends contacted me about them comming to visit me. Ever since then, about 5 months, we've been texting/talking on facebook constantly. I've grown to really like him, and if we were in the same city, I am certain that we'd be dating by now. Is it stupid of me to have feelings for someone i've only met in person twice? and If he feels the same way would it be ridiculous to start a relationship with him when he's at least 3 hours away at all times?

No it's not stupid. Love at first sight is a very real thing. Long distance relationships can work but they do take a lot of work to work.

I dont think it's stupid at all.
If you two like each other enough, and are willing to put the work in, there is no reason why you shouldnt be able to start a relationship with him.
Make no mistake, a long distance relationship would be difficult, but trying never hurt anyone. If there's even a little potential, i say go for it, because if you dont capitalize on it now, that potential may not be there later.
hope that helped,
nick.
