Possible, but unlikely. Usually you know within a few months if you get that "warm, fuzzy" feeling when kissing, holding hands, etc. At least for me personally. You never know, but i feel like after a year it would be acting like it's love when it really isn't

Yes, madam, it sure is. Sometimes it takes time to notice the good things in a person. In my experience, this kind of love has a better foundation. This means the attraction is not only physical.

Short answer: doubtful, it might not be the love you are expecting in reciprocation.
Evaluate his actions, if they appear to be done lovingly and for you unconditionally, then he might be expressing his love without words. If he grew up in an emotionally barren household, actions speak louder than the words that they don't speak.
