OK so you are still in the early stages of pregnancy, sex is safe during pregnancy as any midwife will tell you.
Your body is going through so many changes right now and so tenderness around the vagina area and in your breasts is very common as like I said before you are now changing to meet the needs of your baby as well and preparing yourself for the next 7 months as such.
I would go and see your doctor and explain your soreness during sex, is it actual pain or feeling uncomfortable?
You could have a mild infection which could be due to heightened hormones right now and so it would be best to get it checked out. It could be something very simple that can be treated but again during pregnancy antibiotics and such can only be prescribed by your doctor.
Sex during the later stages of pregnancy is literally a personal thing and if you feel comfortable and your partner is keen then there is no reason why you should stop having sex.
Mind you half the time we are tired and can't be bothered or we have such a desire for sex but our partners are so afraid of hurting us or the baby which is completely unrational but was the case for me that I desperately wanted sex leading up to my daughters birth and finally when I had convinced him that it was safe and the midwives were saying yes it can help to make the actual birth easier for mum my daughter decided to come into the world 2 weeks early and so we never got round to the sex part of things.
If it feels right and more importantly comfortable and pleasurable then do what feels natural.
Take care and best of luck but do consult your doctor if you are concerned or in a lot of pain OK.

Well, you might want to double check with your OB care physician, but when I was pregnant, I asked and they said it's fine, it won't hurt the baby, but if you are saying it hurts, definitely seek an answer from your doctor!!

Sex during pregnancy is perfectly safe, it will not harm the baby at all. However, pain during sex, pregnant or not, is not a good thing. I suggest you see your ob/gyn as soon as you can to make sure everything is ok.
