I was also under a lot of stress just after i ovulated and I know this is a reason that I could be late, is it possible to miss a period after ovulating?

Yes good advice, it takes a sperm cell to make a pregnancy. But, as Dr. Ruth is fond of saying, "It only takes one fast one". And, they are very tiny, and there are a lot of them. We don't know exactly what you two did, All we know is that whatever it was you don't call it "sex", and that now you are nervous. So we really can't say what is possible.
A pregnancy test is a cheep way to remove quite a bit of stress from your life. Getting well educated from good sources is another.

You can't get pregnant without getting sperm in the vagina. I suppose that could happen without direct penetration, although it seems pretty unlikely. But if he didn't ejaculate while you were around, it's impossible.
If you are really freaked out and there is some reason to worry (e.g., you gave him a hand job and touched yourself), you might buy a pregnancy test. But it seems a longshot.
