I think the better way to do this is to just be sensible about your diet and exercise. Crash diets usually set you up for fast weight gain once your body goes into 'starvation survival' mode.
Cut out all sugary drinks, drink nonfat milk and go for an hour's walk (if you're physically able to) every day or every other day. Just move your body more and eat less junk!

Maybe the better question is "Is it wise to try to lose 10 lbs in 3 weeks?"

A

You are 13...and like most girls have far to much pressure put on them to lose weight, especially at your age when hormones are kicking in and your ' womanly ' shape is being formed.
Not sure why you have asked the question, as you don't indicate IF you are overweight, or think you are overweight. 10lbs is NOT a healthy weight loss in 10 days, a healthy weight loss in around 10 days might be 4lbs or so. Of course one can starve themselves and lose weight, but at your age, it should be about a sensible healthy eating regime, not dieting, and people advising you and not taking this into account is a little worrying.
I realize your question was about losing 10lbs in 10 days, just want to make sure, that for whatever your reason for this question, I didn't want to miss the seriousness or the consequences of such a young girl attempting to lose that amount in a fixed time period.
I'm well aware young girls who want to fulfil some underweight idea of beauty, seek out all kinds of internet websites to find ways to basically starve themselves to lose weight, but this is really NOT healthy.
If you think you have 'real weight problem ' not just because you think you should be a certain size, then ask your Mom to help you, but please don't do anything that may damage your health.

Yeah it's possible. A healthy rate to lose weight is 2-3 pounds a week.

10 pounds is nothing. You can loose that in one week. But I guess it depends on your body, some people loose faster than others I guess. Pluss if you workout you might gain muscle weight. However I was on a bootcamp once and it was one intense week on the mountain (army style) and a girl there lost 15 pounds in one week. Might I add that she was completely dead tired and worn out at the end of it? I myself had also gotten some muscle toned, and was exhausted. I wouldn't recommend it. But yes, it is fully possible to loose 10 pounds in 3 weeks.

Yes, very possible. But it depends on how much you weigh now. It's all a ratio. I've lost 30lbs in a month... but on the other side of the coin, I was 250lbs, so 30lbs isn't that much in perspective.
I'd say if you are much lighter than that losing 10lbs in 3 weeks will be very difficult if not unhealthy. It's all situational. With more information, a better answer could be made.
But as a general answer, exercise often and maintain healthy eating habits. If you're trying to lose weight, try to eat less than the required calories per day of someone your size (but don't shave off too much, you still need energy for when you exercise!) Also eat 4-5 times a day of smaller portions.
But you're still young and growing. Diets are geared for adults. The best advice I can give though is stay active!

anything is possible with the right sort of diet but you shouldnt be aiming to loose that in a time frame rather eat healthy and exercise and the weight will come off naturally scarmbled boiled or omellete eggs are a good weight loss tip just dont eat too many in one week good luck aphex

I would say avoid all the fad diets. Try weight watchers maybe, they advocate sensible eating.
