As in, someone can call on private/witheld number, but their number still shows up?My reason for asking is that I was feeling curious as to whether my ex-boyfriend had the same number as before, so I called him on private number just to check. I know it's immature and I probably should have just left it. But I don't want him to know that I called him because we ended quite badly.Anyway, I just want to know if it's possible to arrange with your service provider to have witheld numbers show up. Thanks to anyone who knows anything.

No not unless he either pays for it or is a hacker. He may also choose not to answer unknown calls. Why would you call with no intention of talking? There's no reason he would see an unknown number and track it. He'd probably assume it was a telemarketer. Just don't do it again.

I would just not call your ex again, ever. You don't want to give him any fodder to imply to other people that you're stalking him.You are right, you should just leave it, next time. That being said, if you only did it once I wouldn't worry about it.What are the odds that he would get one call from a private number and try to find out who it was?
