Yes it is possible for 18 year olds to have a low sperm count. It's not often clear what causes a low sperm counts, sometimes the lack of sperm can reflect an abnormality in sperm from birth but also morre commonly there may not be a reason.
It's thought that infection and trauma may affect some people's sperm counts. The stress of illness or infections anywhere in the body can temporarily lower sperm counts.
I would suggest getting your sperm count checked at the doctors to confirm whether on not your sperm count is low.
