 Sperm don't die until they are dry. You can get pregnant at any time if your body releases a second egg, sometimes that spontaneously happens. It only takes one sperm and one egg. It's probably not likely, but it is a possibility. You can get pregnant just from the few drops of sperm that leak during foreplay as well, so always use a condom right from the beginning of sex. I wouldn't worry too much, it's a very small chance that this would lead to pregnancy, but it is not impossible.

reader, anonymous, writes (20 April 2007): na it aint possible for a fact that sperm dont live unless straight in the vagina and anyway sozzy not being nasty but it must have been quite messy when your on your period anyway do a test if you not sure and want to put your mind at rest

1. It would be the smallest ammount of sperm and not 'shot' into you.
2. You are on your period and as you are discharging yor eggs it is an unlikely time for fertilization to occur.

reader, anonymous, writes (20 April 2007): The whole idea of what you have said is actually quite disgusting. That is so unhygenic for both you and the boy, I mean, on your period!!!
And the answer is no, you cant be pregnant. The whole idea behind a period is that it gets rid of the lining of the uteris, and therefore the egg has nothing to hang onto or to grow in.
Honestly, at your age you shouldnt be doing things that you dont know what the consequences are!!!
