A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (6 September 2008):

Well don't try to bring up old problems. If she sees you as an unfit husband find out why.

Then start again and don't make those mistakes.

When you go round to see the kids, bring her flowers and encourage the kids to do well at school and help around the house.

Show her that you are a new man, change what ever it was you did last time and then start to make her fall for you again. Be lovely to her, flirt, pay her compliments and then if that goes well then ask her out on a date.

Find something new to do or talk about so you can re-spark that connection. Take her ballroom or salsa dancing! Just something that will make sure you continue to have something in common.

Good Luck!! xx
