writes:Hi recently I was having sex and the condom broke.... my husband immediately pulled out and he hadn't yet cum. I was also missed the pill around tht time for a few days as we had gona away and I left them at home. When I got home from our holiday I continued the pill as normal. the following week my period was due but it didn't arrive until a fortnight later when I had a bit to drink... when my period finally came it was rather heavy... is it possible I was pregnant and that the combination of alcohol and the pill cause me to have a miscarriage? Thankyou

reader, anonymous, writes (29 November 2008): I have no idea, I mean it might be possible, you could have just had a dodgy period, you may have miscarried by coincidence. Either way you are not pregnant so that's good.
A warning while we're on the subject - don't get pissed soon after you've taken the pill - if you throw up the pill won't digest and then you will have missed it.
If you're forgetting to take the pill, go on the jab. It's the same stuff and should have matching side effects, but you only have an injection once a month, so it's harder to forget =]
