I think you should date him because you seem to really like him and if you are worried of what other people might think ( which is usually the case ) then u shouldn't be! Age isn't important. If you love him then you should go for it!

How much younger? I think it's okay to do, though from previous experience I would be very reluctant to do it again.In my own experience even though my ex was only a couple of years younger than me I found him worlds apart in terms of life experience, independence and even goals. That's not reflective of every case out there of course, just something for you to think about :)As for his thoughts on the matter, I'm sure he would be surprised and flattered that an older girl wants to date him.Good luck

reader, anonymous, writes (21 April 2009): If you are both in college, what's the problem? It's not like he's not a legal adult--age is just a number once you both are to the age of majority. My boyfriend is 5 months younger than me and I'm in high school. Nobody cares about a few months, or even years, really. If you value what other people think of you dating a younger guy over your own happiness with him, that's a totally separate problem.
