She is turning 17 in July, and I am 19 right now but will be 20 in November. Is it weird (or wrong) for us to be together? I don't mean in a physical way, because I don't think sex should occur until she is 18 next year, but is it normal and/or OK to have her as my girlfriend at this age? Reply to this Question Share |

in most states the age of consent is 17, so you should be fine.

It may seem like a big deal to you because you two are at such a young age but really.. less than three years isn't bad at all. I was 17 actually at one point and dating a 10 year old.. he was even 20 while i was 17 for a couple of months. It's not a big deal. Just respect her and stick to your no sex yet thing. i think that's awesome and i respect your values.
