Last night, my boyfriend called me, drunk, after attending a wedding. He told me I should be proud of him as he had been sitting next to a hot woman who had been hitting on him all night and he hadn't done anything.I asked if he'd mentioned me, and he said that it "had never come up"Is it not normal to mention an absent partner as a way to put off unwanted attention?I feel upset and confused, partly because i don't think not doing anything with the hottie warrants a pat on the back and also because i dont understand why he didn't simply mention he had a girlfriend. Also the number of times he repeated the words hot during our conversation made me feel really bad about myself.am i over-reacting :(

This could be a sign that your relationship is starting to crumble. To use the word 'hot' over and over again is a good indication. I suggest you two get talking about this relationship.
