 It is very normal to spot between periods when on the pill. Read the pamphlet that came with your pills and it will fill you in on a lot of missed details. If the symptoms persist after 3 months then you can always change brands and that sometimes helps.

Yeah some pills can make you do that.
If it doesn't settle down after 3 months of taking the pill correctly then go back to the doctor and ask for a different pill.
Everyone is different and some girls get on brilliantly with one pill while others will get awful side effects.
You just have to give each one a few months to see if you like it once your body is used to it.
