reader, anonymous, writes (9 July 2009): if your not completly relaxed or wet enough it can start to feel painful so as others said use plenty of lube,make sure its water based so it doesnt split your condoms, which im hoping you are using, if it still hurts maybe just maybe hes spending too much time on you let him lie down and you do the pleasuring this will give u a chance to relax again and then he can try with u after

Use lots of foreplay + additional lubrication if needed. Sounds like you're not getting wet enough.

Sex at first can feel odd, but shouldn't feel painful after the first couple of times. Are you sufficiently lubricated? If you are too dry then it will be sore and painful after a while. If you are dry, then you need more foreplay or some lubricant. If you are using condoms you need to make sure the lube won't corrode the condom.
