A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Im just wondering if my situation is normal.

My ex and I broke up five months ago and because she had a kid and I pretty much stepped up to be a second parental figure to him and love him a lot, we have a lot of contact.

We're still really close and I know that this doesnt help but I still love her, after everything between us I know it was a terrible relationship but Im still so in love with her, and I dont understand why I cant move on.

I want to I dont want to feel so helpless and alone. We dont see each other as much and because she moved and I have things I need to do, but we skype so I can see the child.

Is it normal that its taking me so long to move on and any tips so I can get my head back on straight?

Thanks
