writes:Ok so i'm attracted to older men and most of m friends think that's pretty werid but anyways there's this teacher that i know and he was my wrestling coach for 2 years. But lately i've started to have a major crush on him because he's easy to talk to(well i think)he's nice and funny and understanding too.I been able to talk to him when things weren't right at home.I think i know the reason why but i feel like i'm the only one that likes older men and the guys my age are full of it.I really don't think this is normal because he's married and has a kid and i feel so wrong.I just feel like i'm the only one.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 September 2010): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionUnfortunately i can't get over.When ever one of my friends mentions him or talks about him i can't help but think of all the good times,how being able to talk to him felt comfortable, nice and funny .Every darn day i can't seem to keep him out of my head.I try to do something to keep my mind busy but no that doesn't even work.
The other day i saw him walking down the hallway towards the office but i just couldn't say hi or anything!My heart was racing andi just walked by like i didn't see him.
I felt terrible for doing that.I would like ot be able to say hi instead of freaking out and being love sick.

This is completely normal. Ever since I was a kid, I always like older men and I always had HUGE crushes on my teachers. It's just that older men are more mature; they are more experienced and therefore they are morally more attractive. Don't ever think that there is something wrong with you. You are not alone.

I know exactly how you feel, I don't think I'll ever actually like guys my age, they're just so immature and older guys can provide soooo much more. But I think it's totally normal.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 September 2010): It's very common for young girls to have crushes on their teachers, especially young girls who may be having problems at home, as you express. (I came from a troubled home and found myself having crushes on a couple of favorite teachers as a young girl, too.) The important thing is that you don't act on anything you're feeling toward this teacher. As long as the teacher isn't making advances or anything like that, then it's probably a harmless phase.
Girls mature earlier than boys do, so it makes sense that you don't like any of the boys your age right now. At some point the right boy will come along, and you'll forget all about your teacher, except in fond memories.
