Is it normal for a tampon to move?

A female United Kingdom, anonymous writes:

I have a problem which may sound a bit disgusting and I'm not sure whether it will be put on the site but here goes . . . I'll be as subtle as possible!!

When I'm on my period I wear tampons. Lately, though, the tampon has been moving down to the opening of the vagina when I'm going to the toilet (not for a wee!). This didn't used to happen and it's quite annoying.

Is this normal and does it happen to others?

Thanks

I think that maybe you are not pushing your tampon up into your vagina enough, you have to make sure it is at the highest you can get it without discomfort. My other suggestion is that maybe your not wearing the tampon that best suits you, have you changed them? make sure they fit you perfect and make sure they are the right absorbancy.

good luck!!

Seratuki agony auntMaybe you're not placing the tampon far enough inside? I know exactly what you mean tho...mine does the same if..

1) I'm using too large a tampon for my flow

2) the tampon is full

3) it happens more now since I'm sexually active, it stretches the opening and means sometime you may need a larger tampon.
