reader, anonymous, writes (25 February 2011): Ok, CaringGuy kinda has it wrong, it happens to boys throgh puberty because their b*lls drop and their voices break. This doesnt happen for girls through puberty...But what your exeriencing IS normal. As said by Chigril, you just need to practise your voice and use it more, and singing is a great way to do it. Drinking alot of fluids helps aswell, I used to have this problem all the time.

Have you tried singing? When you sing you practice your voice, and also learn to control it. Either you could join a choir, or sing at home in private. Practice the scale of tones and singing on a pure note.
Voice control can be practiced, Im positive this could be a good solution for you.
