Is it an addiction? or is he using that as an excuse?

recently i have found out my boyfriend of 12 months has joined a firting website to chat to other girls i have had a look and it seems more like a sex site, iv confronted him and he said he was waiting to tel me but knew i would see it on his phone bill, hes really imbarrised and says hes addicted to it the fact that its fake n no1 knows each other also hed sent a rude picture of himself to a girl he had spoken to on there, mainly he speaks on the phone to them he says he is going to stop it got out of hand and he didnt realise how bad it was, n doesnt want us to end and theres nothing in it, i just want to know do you think its a bit weird and you can get addicted or hes just saying that as an excuse ?? hope you can help x

Yes it is addictive. Yes, I have been there. Even if you love your partner very much, you can be addicted to this, BUT BUT BUT it does impact on your relationship, and if he does love you then he will give it up.
