Is it acceptable to send these TV personalities messages begging them to accept my Friend Request on Facebook?

I saw some On Air Personalities whom I learnt a lot from on facebook. It is been 2 months since i sent friend requests to them and yet some of them have refused to accept them. I don't know if they have forgotten or simply think that I'm not worth a friend to them (although we have spoken during phone-in programs like friends). I love them so much.. I want to know if it's sensible to send them msgs, begging them to accept the requests or not.

if they didn't accept the request they don't want you as a friend don't keep bothering them

A female reader, anonymous, writes (20 May 2011):

Your actions and begging may cause you to be perceived as a stalker. If they don't accept you, leave it at that.

Finally, many celebrities don't even manage their own social media (Facebook, myspace, twitter, etc) accounts. They hire a person, or PR firm to provide their web presence. Don't take it personally.
