I know he is telling the truth because I overheard him telling his guy friends, who have each been with 20+ to 40+ people so compared to them, its not that bad lol But it still kind of bugs me. Whats the average number of people a guy his age has slept with? Is it too high? Reply to this Question Share |

7? *snort* His true number is closer to 3.
Both men and women lie about their number of partners. Men exaggerate ("I've been with 20 Chicks!! Yeah!!" means he's been with 1 woman, if that, and his hand is his constant companion). In general, the more partners a man CLAIMS to have had, the fewer he's ACTUALLY had. Subtract 4-5 from your boyfriend's claim, and get his real number.
Women tend to deflate their numbers. Generally, ADD 4 to the number of partners a woman claims to have had. So, if she says 3, it's actually closer to 7. Not universally true, but true in most cases.

that's an ok number in my books.
Don't listen to boys boasting on numbers....

I don't think I could even find 40+ people that I liked enough to sleep with lol.
But, seriously, I don't think it's THAT bad, it's not great but I don't think you should stress over it. No one likes no know their partner slept with a lot of people before them but he's with you now and that's all that matters.

When guys sit around and brag about this they tend to massively inflate their numbers. So when they say numbers like that, it's often much higher than reality. The average number of lifetime sexual partners is a lot lower than 20, more like 10.
Having said that 'average' doesn't mean much because usually its a small number of people having sex with a lot of different people, whilst the majority tend to have sex almost always within long term relationships, and have a much lower average as a result.
Only you can decide what you're comfortable with.

anyway, for a young verile guy to be with 7 girls in 6 years, that's not bad at all. i think that's probably a normal number, and his friends are probably lying that they scored that much, pahleeeese. how do you even find 40 people you'd want to sleep with? i wouldn't have the time for that many!
