Known this guy for 4mo.we've hung out a handful of times - he msgs all the time to see what I'm doing/how I'm doing.the thing is he's incredibly flakey.he's invited me to see him at work 2x and canceled both times..because he claims he couldn't get a break long enough to see me.our hangouts are random.when we hang we chill.talk and just recently started messing around a lil bit.aside from the txts that lead to maybe hanging out.when we last hung out.I told him I was going to the movies by myself and was stoked to see this movie and he ended up inviting himself.I was in no way hinting.but he flaked of course.someone called me while I was with him and he asked who it was.he talks bout wanting to do things with me or wanting to see me..but like I said..he's a flake. Is this normal behavior? I don't stress about him much anymore cos its pointless.but thought id ask.

A female reader, Tigerlily United States +, writes (23 February 2010):

Yeah well some people are just flakes. I don't think it's normal behavior, but it's just how some people are. I'd be careful how deeply you let yourself get with this guy because his behavior is very clearly telling you he can't be counted on. If he treats you like this chances are he treats most people like this, and eventually it will bite him in the butt when he needs someone and he looks around and nobody's there for him. then maybe he will learn, but chances are that will not be for a long time.
