Is he making some stupid kind of joke with me, or did I just get hit on for a gay weekend?

A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I'm a 20 something guy who is not very experienced with women (1 'real' girlfriend).

This guy I work with who is 2 or 3 years older than me came up to me and asked me if I went away overnight with some guy and woke up in the morning with a sticky face would I tell anyone. I said "hell no, I'd not tell anyone", he asked me if I wanted to go away to Atlantic City for a weekend of fun with him.

I hate to sound stupid and naive, but I guess I'm not very worldly. Is he making some stupid kind of joke with me, or did I just get hit on for a gay weekend?

It's like when a guy comes up to you and asks you "You know when you have a wank in the bath and it gets all sticky?" and you reply "Yes?".

Well, it's a bit like that.

With all due respect Empress, I'be heard this joke before from my (straight) friends. Perhaps if the gentleman were actually gay, would I consider it possibly getting hit on. The poster doesn't make it clear if the other guy is gay or suspected to be gay. I would put more weight on it being a 'pass' if he were gay. But as I said, I've heard this as a joke before.
