A female , anonymous writes:

I have a male friend who used to be quite flirtly with me and then seemed to go off the boil.

He rang up to ask a question the other day and was obviously in a very good mood and while we were talking I jokingly told him off and he said 'ooh aren't you being rather bossy'.

I stupidly then said I will smack you for that and he said I hope its not the face as that would be too painful. I said ok I will smack your bottom and he said oh I would like that and I said of course you would you are a bloke and then he said shall I smack yours as well and I wasn't really listening because I was trying to have a proper conversation with him about a meeting we were meant to be going to and when I mentioned the word planning he said 'so we are planning to' and when I listen to him about smacking my bottom jokingly he said 'you didn't say no to that did you'. I just laughed and said no.

Thankfully we managed to finish the conversation normally.

What I would like to know is because he is a friend of mine and I don't want to ruin anything, I do like him alot but its hard to tell if he really fancies me or whether he just likes having a good laugh with me.

What is the best way forward to let him know that I like him.

mizz.butterflies agony auntObserve his behavior towards other girls. Is he flirt/playful with every girl?Or just you? If he acts like this towards almost everyone, then you will have to step back a bit and consider the possiblity that he's a player,or if you guys are younger than 16,he wants to make you jealous which would be a sign that he's into you.take your time. Laugh at his jokes and fire some jokes back.

raiders agony auntJust tell him! Seems like he is flirting with you too, you put your foot down and changed the conversation so maybe just maybe he is asking himself the same question. "Is she looking for love or for laughs" you tow might be in the same page.
