 Seems to be a few mixed messages here, i would leave things on a friendly note, wish him a happy holiday and get on with your life. He may not want to start anything more serious before he goes away . Don't hold on for him to get back as you could easily be dissappointed. If your free, even divorced when he returns who knows what might happen.
