Inappropriate crushes?

Question - (7 April 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 7 April 2011)
A female Canada age 51-59, anonymous writes:

I have a habit of making trouble for myself. I develop crushes easily and seem to always have one on somebody somewhere. This is a problem because I have been happily married for many years. It seems that the more inappropriate the crush, the harder I fall (doctors, pastors, friends). I never act on them, and am quite frankly embarrassed by having silly crushes. I'm not a cheater, and don't intend to, so this really concerns me. I'm always striving to be a better person and this is one area I am having trouble with...even though it's all in my own head and never acted on. Advice?

A female reader, Luv2giveadvice Australia +, writes (7 April 2011):

You say you are happily married, are you sure?

It sounds to me there is something missing in your marriage: spice, passion, excitement.

The way I see it you have 2 choices:

1 - Try to introduce the passion back into your marriage,

or

2 - Divorce.

Sounds harsh I know but, although you arent now,

one day, if you continue to be tempted, you will act on it.
