writes:I am really really freakedout by a dream I had last night. It was so vivid it seemed real. And the sick part of my dream is that I knew what I was doing and with who and I didn't stop! I feel creepy this morning. I gotta find out what this dream means!It was my sister. She is 2 years older than me and very pretty. She was sitting nude on my bed and I was standing over her. I've only ever seen her in a bikini by our pool, NEVER nude. But the image in my mind is sooo real. I actually saw her naked, I mean I saw everything, breasts, pubic hair and all!A bright light was shining through my window, like the sun was really close or something. It was kinda surreal with the bright light and all. My room was super bright yellow and everything was reflecting light.Well I was soft so she was stroking me trying to work up an erection. She was telling me to relax or I would not get hard. I actually heard her real voice in my dream. Once I got hard she laid back and said "let's go". As soon as I laid on top of her we started kissing like crazy. I have never kissed my sister in my entire life, especially with tongue! Oh man.. the kissing was actually great. But it gets worse.I kept shifting positions to try to get my penis inside her and was having trouble finding her hole, so she reached down and put it inside her and we went at it. I was a little surprised that she knew how to do that. Yes, in my dream I was actually surprised that my sister knew how to insert a penis into her. I just don't think of her as having sex, although she is 20 and I guess she has... I'm off topic, sorryWhile we were doing it I knew it was wrong, but I said to myself "what the hell this feels good". so I kept going. I knew it was wrong, but I kept going anyway. What the hell is the matter with me?! Would I really do that if given the opportunity? My mind says no way, but in my dream which is also my mind I went ahead with it anyway.The low battery warning in my smoke detector went off and I woke up with my heart pounding. Of course it had to chirp at that freakin' moment! I mean what the hell! I didn't finish the dream and couldn't get back to sleep.I don't know where to start. Why would I have a dream like this? She's my sister and I don't look at her that way. But it seemed soooo real. Could it be a suppressed memory? In my dream I knew it was wrong, I mean I REALLY knew it was wrong, but I went ahead anyway. Has anyone else ever had a dream about their sister or brother like this? If yes, how long were you freaked out about it??

Dreams are often a bizarre combination of events of the day, old memories, and current moods. Depressed folks think about funerals, death, dying, etc. Anxious folks are being chased or trapped. The brain and dreaming system has no moral controller and for that reason, sexual interest is often combined in dreams with people we have seen or talked to during the day. You can get some pretty interesting and bizarre dreams this way.

Last night I had a dream that I had sex with my sister. I am almost 22 and she is 20. We're one year and 9 months apart. Well anyways I've DEF had this dream before. In the first dream I was penetrating her with a strap-on dildo. And I knew what I was doing was wrong, but I also couldn't stop. Last night's dream was a little different because we were eating eachother out. She would do me first then it was my turn to do her. But everytime I would go to do it to her, my son would start crying in the other room and my mom and stepdad (who aren't even married nor living together or even WITH me) kept coming in the room to tell me to take care of my son. So I would but then when I'd go back to my sister something else would interupt it. And I was getting soo aggravated. Eventually I woke up and when I did I was masturbating and trying to get back into the dream. It was totally crazy and I woke up feeling grossed out about it. The only rational thing I could make of it was that maybe I missed her being here in Florida, because she lives in Tennesse now, and that I wanted to be closer to her, but I definitley don't want to be THAT close to her lol. Idk. It was a weird dream that would NEVER happen in real life. I also went to bed very horney last night. So you never know what your mind is capable of when you're sleeping. I just hope you don't sleep walk!! lol jk

reader, anonymous, writes (10 October 2009): I had a dream once about having sex with my sister too, and my parents barged in right in the middle! So we didn't get to finish either.. It was horrible, they told everyone, and they would all look and stare at us and gossip.. I must also say that I'm a girl, and definitely not a lesbian or bisexual. I have never been sexually attracted to my sister, and I would NEVER do anything like this!!I have had these dreams about my mother and father too, which was even more awful, and I did feel really weird about that for a while..But like everyone says, dreams are only dreams, just your head messing with you. And if they do have a meaning, it's never the obvious one, so don't worry!Your sister is just someone you see a lot of, and I think it's only logical that you dream about her sometimes..The awkwardness will go away soon, just remind yourself that it wasn't and will never be real!

Anyhow, its only in your head and only you will know if you would ever act upon it (doesn't sound like you will). Good luck!

I really doubt you are suppressing a real incident.
And yes. I have two sisters and find neither one sexually attractive and yet I have had sex dreams about both of them. I know what you mean about feeling weird when you wake up. In my dreams I did not finish either. I think psychologically my mind changed the dream before I climaxed. In your case your mind probably would have done the same, but your stupid smoke detector went off. Why is it that those low battery warnings always happen at night when you are asleep?? Now that weirds me out. Good Luck!

 I have said it once and I will say it again till the end of time. dreams are just dreams and they usually never mean a damn thing. Your brain is an amazing tool that allows you to come up with and imagine an infinite amount of situation, whether they be plausible or not. Like flying or shooting a person dead. It doesn't mean you actually have the capacity to fly or kill a person, but that your mind can imagine what the scenerio might be like. Thats why humans have the ability to think ahead. We can imagine a sequence of events.
There is also a taboo curiosity factor in this. This sounds like a vivid lucid dream as you were aware of who you were and your situation and you saying you couldn't stop, implying you may at some times have control over your dreams. Well sometimes you just want to let the scenerio play out. Out of curiosity. Again, this doesn't mean you are attracted to your sister and it doesn't mean anything other than you had a dream where you slept with your sister and you were curious about how it would play out.
I have had dreams where I have slept with women and cheated on my husband. It doesn't mean I am attracted to women or will cheat on my husband. They are meaningless and I just say... wow... that was a messed up dream and move on. If you keep thinking about it you will be pushing it to the forfront of your mind and you will end up with a re-occuring dreams.
